So for one week, between today and Valentine's Day, on my personal journals I'm running a multi-fandom V-Day story tree. Any fandom, any pairing (or no pairing). Looking for a reason to get your fluff on? Got a cute little snuggly fic idea? Maybe you think it's just plain time for your two favorite characters to get it on. Come add a branch to the Story Tree!
What's a story tree? It's a set of 'connected' short stories. Not a round robin story or anything like that, but where connection between fics comes from using the last word of one fic as the first word in the next story. If someone starts with an Stargate: Atlantis story you can follow with a Hawaii 5-0 story and someone can follow you with a NCIS story ... There does not need to be a continuing plot line or theme between drabbles.
So please, come over and check it out and drop a snuggle or cuddle or two on the tree.

Valentine's Day Mailbox
Feb. 2nd, 2011 09:20 pmcupid_2011Every year, there's a community on LJ where users can leave messages for that special someone(s) just in time for Valentine's Day. Except this year, it's somehow failed to happen. So I've set up a version on Dreamwidth.
The concept is simple - find the appropriate post in the comm and leave a message, anon or not, for someone you like. Then spread the word about the comm's existence. Hopefully, your recipient will see it. You may even be lucky enough to get left a few messages yourself!

kinkmemes is a community where you can host or link to anonymous or signed kink memes.
How does a kink meme work?
- One person (the host) starts it out with a post stating the specific rules that apply for the kink meme. This can be within a fandom, pairing, specific kink or anything else.
- People then respond to this post with prompts, scenarios an d kinks which they'd like to see written or drawn.
- Prompts are then filled by others who are inspired by them and they then post their fics or art in a comment in reply to the original prompt.
- Replies can be anonymous or signed or kink memes can start out anonymously and posters be revealed once they are finished. Additionally, a kink meme can be ongoing or only open for a limited time.
- In conclusion, a kink meme relies heavily on reciprocity, so don't just request, but fill prompts too.

I would love to make it an open and inclusive community to share all flavors of writing in the sci-fi/fantasy genre.

The community is just a baby but you can make it grow shiny and healthy!
Gen, Het, Slash, all Crossovers (just keep in mind that it has to have at least one TV Show in it), TV Actors RPF (gen, het, slash).
All the shows are welcome, no matter how new or how long since it's been canceled.
